Boldog apák napját, Apa! Nagyon szeretlek!!
Wow. It's been a week already. Time flies.
Lisa woke me up at 10. Yay for getting enough sleep!
Today, we went to church. When Lisa was in America, we took her to our church and she said she would also take me to hers, which is evangelical Lutheran I think. They don't go every Sunday, only on Easter, Christmas, and her confirmation.
First. Their car. For my dad and brother. It's a VW Golf Plus. They also have another smaller car.
The church. It is very pretty and the grounds are very nice too.
The service was interesting and also my first traditional and German church service. Knock two things off the bucket list at once. (I should really make a bucket list.)
The pastor was very nice and asked where I was from. During the greeting in front of the church, he told everyone I was from America and asked for my name. It was a good thing I was paying attention because I understood that part and answered.
There was a lot of singing then the pastor talked then people sang... There were like 20 people there and 75% of them were probably over 70.
I didn't understand much but it was still interesting and I sang along from the lyric book. The pews were also cool. There were village names on them so I think maybe when more people came, you had to sit in the pew from you village. Or maybe they do that on holidays. Now, we had chairs in the front. The service was about an hour long.
Also, the organ music was beautiful. I think it's my favorite instrument because it's so majestic and I really liked it during the service. And it's also the oldest village church.

After church.
We had lunch in the dining room today
We ate fish and it was kind of weird because in America, people don't eat fish with the bones. We do in Hungary sometimes and at Xiaohong's house.
They keep watching me!!
Then we drove to Boltenhagen and see the Ostsee.
We took a picture in one of these beach seat things. You can rent them on the beach.
It was very pretty and the water was super clear. We walked along the pier and it was gorgeous. You can see in the big picture all of the beach seats.
WE ARE SO PRETTY!!
It was windy.
The best part about this picture is the way that lady is looking at me.
We went in the water. It was cold. So I went out.
Lisa played with jelly fish. And went in deeper than I did.
Lisa wrote her name in the sand and then she said I had to write my full name. So I did.
TRENDSETTER!
The houses were really pretty and there were perfomances. These girls looked like bats.
Next, we walked around and looked in shops.
I found all of our Prince Charmings. I tried to kiss one but it was probably not mine and I didn't have time to kiss them all.
Oh, Libby. I found you yet again! You need to hide better.
APOTHEKE!!
ANGRY GERMAN!!
The street was really nice.
There was an annoying shop that had the seagull sound going on and on and on and it was super annoying. We left.
We tried on these wooden shoes. I think they're Swedish. (Just kidding. They're Dutch.) It took us a while but we eventually balanced our pose long enough to take a picture.
Cupcakes Oma made. Sehr gut!!
Then we drove home. And had fun in the car. And we had pizza for dinner. And it was good. I ate it with a fork and a knife. And then I ate strawberries that were sugary. And Vati ate it with milk so Lisa showed me what it looked like. And now I think we're going to pack.

#12: *begins crying because she misses Janka so much* I want sugary strawberries and wooden shoes TOOOOO!!!
ReplyDeleteOnly 4 more days. Then we'll be reunited and can make plans!!Don't cry. Or else I'll cry.
