There is an area in front of the school and an elementary across the street. There is also a courtyard in the back. It is a very pretty building even though it is about a hundred years old. The doors are also smaller and we thought those were cute.

We are American tourists!!
We were being watched as we toured.
Here are pictures of the hallway and the art room. There is also a student with a wheelchair so one of the stairs is equipped with these kind of rails so she can go upstairs.
Oh, look! It's Shelbi!
This is one of the two computer rooms.
Ja, stimmt!
The secretary and faculty office. They have 1. We have around 20.
In the fall, the school turned 20 years old.
They made a bus to show events in the school history.
We're on there too!
Poster of the school + Jenna.
The auditorium.
This is the room given to the American students. I call it room eins-vier but I have recently found out that it also goes by the name "The American Cage". We come here when we meet and when we don't have anywhere else to go.
Though a cage that gives you tea, water, orange juice, german chocolate, and Haribo is really not bad at all. Also, we got Kinder Chocolate Surprises!! I got a little bunny that shoots from a rocket... I can't really explain it but it's fun and I accidentally shot Shelbi's eye.... They also gave us a big Twix bar which I still have to eat. I think I'm going to gain weight from all this chocolate... but never mind because I'll walk it off with all the walking we do.
This is in Lisa's homeroom during break time. This the room for her class, 11A, and where most of her lessons are.
She also has friends. Who all looked away...
A girl in the class painted a picture on their back wall. It's a cupcake octopus holding stuff representing school subjects that they take (or as Lisa says it: the classes).
They also have a container. It's for holding kids that misbehave.... Nur Spaß!! (just kidding) They need extra rooms so they built a container. (It's really called that: der Container.)
Herr Milde (the teacher here that organized the trip) told us that once they had 600 students but now there are 300.
That's the school!!
P.S. The school has a website with more/better pictures and information in German: www.gymnasium-neukloster.de/

#4: Der COntainer sounds awesome. And their school looks better than ours. I don't know, I just really like older architecture styles opposed to boring modern buildings (like our school). Make sure you bring chocolate for me!!
ReplyDeleteI like the architecture of their school better too. I'll try to bring you chocolate. They have banana juice here too!
