Back home

Hello, blog world!! Can't say I missed you. It is so nice not to have to blog everyday. I'm glad I did it so that I can remember everything and so people could see what I was up to but 18 days straight of blogging every. single. day. That was not fun.

Anyway, the travel home:

I woke up around 3:30 AM to the sound of Opa calling because he can see our house from his house and he didn't see the lights on yet. Then, we got in the car and drove to the school.

Our last picture together :(

From our mini bus window.

We cried some and then laughed. And I didn't really sleep on the bus.

My bag was good, 22.5 kg. Jessica had too much in her big bag so she had to take stuff out but then the stuff she took out was too heavy to be her carry-on with her backpack so I ended up taking it as my carry-on too. And Shelbi was so funny because she bought a gnome so she carried around a red bag that had her gnome in it the whole trip.

Amsterdam to Berlin.

The big flight was fairly uneventful. I sat between Jessica and a guy who I think was British. I watched two Bollywood movies so the flight went by fairly quickly.

I rode home with Shelbi and that was a long car ride and I was super tired. At least I slept for a little bit.

I got home and Kitti and Mom were waiting for me and Jessie was on Skype. They had the baby monitor and Abi started crying so I went up to see her. Then, the boys came home with cake and a pineapple yoghurt for me. Áron was so cute because I was hugging Dad so he hugged my legs and then I picked him and he gave me lots of kisses. I gave everyone their presents and then went to bed 24 hours after I woke up in Germany.

 Home again :)

I am excited to spend time with my family and friends, sleep, and enjoy summer break. And summer reading...

I am really glad I went on this trip. It gave me more confidence in my German skills because I realized that I understand a lot more than I thought and that even though my speaking skills aren't great, I can communicate. It was really nice to see Lisa again and to meet her family and I had a great time with them. My goal is to learn to speak German fluently and I think this trip gave me the confidence to do that. I also saw some amazing places and just had a great experience overall.

And I think this is my last post unless the photobomb compilation post we were talking about becomes a reality. Then I will make one more post.

Thank you for joining me on this journey! I hope you enjoyed reading this blog as much as I enjoyed being in Germany!
